Lots of fun and good food were on hand at the Winston Plywood and Veneer quarterly Town Hall, as team members saw several supervisors ‘Kiss the Pig’ in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
According to WPV President & CEO Bruce Warren, “It’s important to get together with the members and celebrate what we’ve achieved in the last quarter and set goals for the next quarter.” He added that they also recognized new team members, and those who have been promoted, as well as awarding several door prizes.
As a way to give back to the community and raise money for breast cancer research, team members were challenged to donate money in the name of their favorite leader, and all leaders more than $100 in donations would kiss a pig. Warren added that Winston Plywood & Veneer matched all donations, and 100% of the funds go to aid in research. With matching funds WPV’s total donation was more than $1.2K.
Several supervisors had to step forward to ‘Kiss the Pig’ including Warren. The event was catered by Taylor Grocery of Taylor, Mississippi.
