The Louisville Community Saferoom, also referred to as ‘The Dome’ was the scene of a major celebration this past Saturday, as Winston Plywood and Veneer treated their team members and families to the second annual Family Fun Day.
The celebration featured lots of games, inflatables for the kids, door prizes and food for the crowd that was expected to number around 800, including team members and families. The games and activities were a production of Picnic Masters of Memphis, TN, and the food was catered by Bumpers.
WPV President/CEO Bruce Warren stated, “We work so hard during the year that in many ways we are spending more time at work than with our families, so it’s important to bring our families together and celebrate with some family time.” Warren said that the WPV team members are the reason Winston Plywood and Veneer exists. He added that the team concept is something they have been working on, and with the teamwork focus production is up 22% in the past year.
