The 2018 Winston County Christmas Parade will be Monday, December 3 at 5:30 p.m. in downtown Louisville.
The theme is “Parade of Lights".
The Winston County Chamber of Commerce is excited to organize the area Christmas Parade this year. The Chamber staff hopes that all areas of Winston County will participate and come join in the fun at the Parade.
“Make plans to come early on December 3 to enjoy parade day.” stated organizers.
Please read the following rules carefully and return your registration form with the $15 entry fee to the Chamber of Commerce office no later than Wednesday, November 28th. If you have any questions, please call Amy at (662) 773 - 8719.
Each entrant must complete the parade application and pay the $15 entry fee by November 28th.
All floats and entries must be decorated according to the theme, "Parade of Lights".
Each entrant must give the entire length of the float to allow enough space for line up.
Any music played during the parade must be Christmas Music.
All Scout Troops, band members, etc. must be in uniform if they are walking.
No stopping to perform unless it is in front of the judges in order to be judged.
Floats will not be judged at the coliseum or in the line up before the parade.
All pageant winners must be from the current year.
Parade begins at the coliseum on Ivy Avenue and ends at Fair Elementary on Columbus Avenue.
All children 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Do not throw candy and jewelry from your float, car, or truck.
Absolutely no float, with the exception of the last parade float, will have a Santa Claus.
No pamphlets or flyers are to be handed out. No political signage is allowed.
If you are not on time for the line up on Ivy Avenue, you will not be allowed to join the parade.
You must go to the coliseum before lining up for the parade and pick up your line-up number.
Please know the name of your organization when picking up your line-up number.
Line up begins at 4:30pm. Please be in your place at 5:15pm. The parade will begin at 5:30pm.
