The Mississippi Transportation Commission at its June 11 meeting awarded contracts for maintenance projects throughout Mississippi.
There were 10 projects in the Northern District.
“Safety is always MDOT’s top priority,” said Commissioner Mike Tagert, Northern Transportation District. “These projects will significantly increase the safety and mobility throughout North Mississippi.”
The awarded contracts for the Northern District include a nearly $1.7 million contract awarded to APAC Mississippi Inc. for approximately 5 miles of mill and overlay on State Route 182 from U.S. Highway 82 to U.S. Highway 82 through Eupora in Webster County.
MDOT will release additional information regarding timelines and impacts to traffic before the start of construction, and will alert the traveling public before any changes in traffic.
