The Taylor Group of Companies offers an extensive internship program that allows its participants to experience the working environment of the industrial manufacturing field. Through our program, individuals develop and hone new skills by engaging in a direct work atmosphere that prepares them for their future beyond academia. Currently, we have students from high school to junior and senior colleges participating in our internship program this summer with various positions in assembly, sales, accounting, engineering, and several other departments within the Taylor Group of Companies. Joe Cowart, Director of Industrial Engineering and Quality, stated, “This process should allow the students to have knowledge of the practical application of their learnings and should enhance their overall learning experience. These students have done a great job of assisting us in completing a variety of needed projects all while gaining valuable experience.” Through the program, students build their confidence and acquire a better understanding of the demands of a chosen profession and its expectations. In addition, a Taylor internship offers a complete social network filled with opportunities and experiences to help individuals further advance in their careers. President and Chief Operating officer of the Taylor Group of Companies, Inc., Robert Taylor stated, “Taylor is proud to have a well-rounded group of interns this year. Our internship program is beneficial in attracting great talent for our future growth opportunities while also exciting for young people to observe what we do here at Taylor. We look forward to the future and the prospect of new leadership from our internship program.”
Furthermore, The Taylor Group of Companies is working closely with Superintendent Randy Grierson and the surrounding school districts to establish a more long-term internship program. Taylor participated in the first Career Recognition Day for Winston county schools where students were able to discuss their professional options in a stable environment. We hope to partake in future Career Recognition Days. We are proud of our youth and look forward to celebrating their future achievements.
“Thank You to all of our Taylor Interns!” stated staff.
