ACKERMAN — The Cross of Christ had an open meeting at the Chester Baptist Church Family Life Center on April 2 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Fifty-75 folks were expected and planned for at the meeting but God … God brought 98 people from Choctaw and Webster counties together in one accord to offer praise for our precious Lord and glorify and honor him in planning for the beginning of cross construction.
Thank you to the Rev. Rob Faulk and the Chester ladies for a delicious meal and sweet Christian hospitality. What a wonderful time to worship in God’s house. Special thanks also to Mike Rozier (construction) and John Wilbanks (lighting and solar energy), who discussed specifics for The Cross of Christ.
The construction cost is almost complete! All glory to God! We are also grateful for the $3,300 love offering for the cross project given that night. That, too was not expected … but God!
