The Friends of Legion State Park are looking for sponsors for their annual Runnin' n' Strummin' Legion Park Music Festival. The festival is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28.
Music will feature gospel, bluegrass, folk, country, Mississippi Blues, classic rock, an award-winning songwriter, jam sessions, a Dulcimer group, a 5K race, great food, arts and crafts. This festival is for all ages and will be held "In the Pines" of the beautiful and historic Legion State Park and the home of the Acoustically Unique CCC Lodge.
On Friday, September 27 there will be a pre-festival reception for sponsors and VIPs at Lake Tiak O'Khata from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner and entertainment by Jeffrey Rupp's Trio "30 Fingers."
Saturday, September 28 will feature the Runnin' n' Strummin' 5K race with a myriad of arts and crafts, activities for the children, Native American Story Teller and Flutist, National Wild Turkey Federation Educational Program and great food and drinks.
The artists scheduled to perform are The Reed Brothers, Daryl and Jeanne Jones, Tracy McCully, Alan Sibley & The Magnolia Ramblers, Wes Stapp & Ken Sanders, Jody Ross, Dallas Dixon, Chuck Luke, Sciple's Mill Opry with Guests, Allen Winters, Estes Switch, Chandler Wells, Jeffrey Rupp's Mississippi Blues and the Starkville Dulcimers.
The Legion State Park Music Festival sponsorship is a great way to join in on the celebration and promotion of the music and event venues that are scheduled at Legion State Park.
An Artist's Sponsorship is $2,500. This sponsorship will be featured as a sponsor of Legion Park Music Festival and as a sponsor of a musical artist. This sponsorship will be featured on the Legion Park Music Festival website and will be recognized at both the CCC Lodge Venue and the In The Pines outdoor venue. A large print advertising acknowledging the sponsorship will appear at all the main venues and on the Downtown street banners. It will also appear on printed flyers, radio and TV advertising.Four complimentary tickets to the Sponsor/VIP Dinner Friday evening and each VIP ticket also includes a one-year membership to Friends of Legion State Park for 2020.
An In the Pines Sponsorship is $1,500. This sponsorship will be featured as a major financial contributor to the Festival. This sponsorship will be featured on stage at the In The Pines concert venue. The sponsor's business name, phone number and email will also appear on printed flyers, and the Legion Music Festival website. Sponsors will receive three complimentary tickets to the Sponsor/VIP Dinner Friday evening.

A Festival Partner Sponsorship is $1,000. This sponsorship will be featured as supporting all Festival Events, such as, Flutest and Native American story telling, the NWTA's Education Program for children, the Starkville Dulcimers and all other arts and craft events. Sponsors will receive two complimentary tickets to the Sponsor/VIP Dinner Friday evening. Recognition of Sponsorship will appear on all printed flyers, radio advertising and the Legion Music Festival website.
A Sustaining Sponsorship is $250. Admission to the Park the day of the festival will be included.
