The Eupora Rotary Club recognized senior Edwin Herard as Rotary Student of the Month from Eupora High School at its Nov. 27 luncheon.
He was introduced by Teacher of the Month Buck Meek, forestry instructor at the Webster County Career and Technology Center.
Edwin’s current honors and clubs at EHS include Honor Roll, Merit Student, Interact Club, Beta Club, Biology Club, Future Business Leaders of America and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
His extracurricular activities during high school have included football, powerlifting, and track and field.
Edwin’s honors as a football player since ninth grade have included Best Offensive Back Award, All-State Linebacker, Division 2-2A Super 25, WCBI All-Area Team, Starkville Daily Football All-Area Team, and OCH Regional Medical Center and Starkville Daily Player of the Week. In MHSAA 2A powerlifting (181 pounds), he placed third as a sophomore and second as a junior.
Edwin is a member of Eupora First United Methodist Church and plans to attend college but his major is undecided at this time.
He is the son of Toll and Arey Herard. His grandparents are Dannie and Helen Lewis, Buchanan and Jacqueline Meek, Janice Meek and the late Claude Herard.
