On November 14, 2019 the most recent speaker for Retired Educational Personnel Mississippi (REPM) of Louisville/Winston County was Major Reginald Brownlee, Executive Officer for the National Guard unit, with Battalion Headquarters in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
Major Brownlee told the attendees about his background and how the Mississippi Army National Guard had a become a part of his life. He even spoke about his college background. He informed the group about the changes in the Guard, and the programs provided through the guard for members’ education.
The speaker for REPM for February 6, 2020, will be Mrs. Hailey Williams, owner of Cups-n-Cakes Bakery, located at 603 South Church Avenue in Louisville, MS.
The speaker for march will be from the central office of Louisville Municipal School District (LMSD). They will be speaking on dual credits for high school students.
Anyone who is receiving Public Employees’ Retirement System of Mississippi (PERS) is welcome to the meetings that are held first Thursday for the months of September, October, November, and December then the rest are February, March, April, and May at 1:00pm at City Hall. This group will sometimes have speakers who update PERS recipients on the latest changes, so please come join us to make the retirees a stronger group.
