The Noxapater Community Alliance just placed two brand new "Welcome to Noxapater" signs. The plan is to add brick around the signs to make them even more aesthetically pleasing. The Noxapater Community Alliance is looking to make more improvements to the community in the coming months.
Presently, the Noxapater Alliance has 6 to 10 active members. "We want to encourage more people to get involved in our great community." stated Noxapater resident, Chasity Wells. "Many people believe that you must live in the city limits of Noxapater in order to be a member of the community alliance, but this is not the case. Anyone who lives in Noxapater can be a member of the Alliance and help make our community better."
The group is currently looking into raising funds for Christmas decorations for the town and for placing brick around the new signs. There has even been talk of bringing back the Noxapater Christmas Parade. The Annual Cotton Gin Festival will be held in September and the Alliance is preparing now.
"We want to improve the Noxapater area for future generations." state Wells. "I want to encourage the people in my community to be apart of making it a better community." Noxapater is growing as it recently has been adding new businesses to the downtown.
The Alliance's next meeting is Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. in the Noxapater Town Hall.
