Dr. Richardson Called: At the morning service last Sunday, an election was instituted by the members of the local Baptist church to ascertain the choice of the church for a pastor to succeed Rev. Chas. A. Loveless [who moved to a church in Kerens, Texas], resulting in a unanimous election of Rev. R. M. Richardson, D. D. of Memphis, Tenn. Dr. Richardson is well known and beloved by the people of Eupora. He was pastor of the church here during the years 1899 and 1900, in which time he won a tender place in the hearts and affections of our people. For the past two years he has been pastor of the Roan Baptist church of South Memphis and has been shown distinguished honors from the various Baptist churches of that city. The call of Dr. Richardson to the work here is gratifying to the entire congregation and he and his family will receive a gracious welcome from the town at large.
