The lively little town of Eupora, Miss. will have some big time Nov. 28th at the Annual Old Fiddler’s Contest. Nothing like has been held in Mississippi in years.
EUPORA: We are glad to see Mr. Alex. Peery back on the streets after several days’ illness. - Mrs. M. P. Rose returned Monday from a visit to her sister, Mrs. T. W. McKey in Wetumpka, Okla. - Mrs. G. W. Boozer who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Eudy for some time, left Tuesday for her home in Boyle, Miss. - Mrs. Ethel Cooper, who has been right sick with Flu at her brother’s at Aberdeen is improving and hopes to be at home soon. - Troy Ferguson from the Delta was here for the funeral of his sister Ethel Tuesday. - The friends of Mrs. Watson Sugg will regret to know that she is still very ill and was carried to a Sanitarium at Greenville Tuesday, accompanied by her husband and sister, Mrs. Tommie Denton.
The Red Cross Ladies of Eupora, Miss. have four nice new heavy large quilts for sale at a reasonable price.
EMBRY: Little J. D. and Woodrow children of Kilmichael are visiting their uncle J. Hitt. - Mr. John Carroll is very sick at this writing. - Mr. Geo. Hannah visited in the home of Mr. Wall Sunday.

The varsity teams, boys and girls, of Stewart High School have challenged the Eupora teams to play games basket ball on November 30th, 2 to 3 p.m. at the School Building at Stewart. On the evening following beginning at 7 o’clock, a play will be given in the School Auditorium, “Better Than Gold” with admission 10c and 20c.
EMBRY: Messers. Duell and Dee Wall spent Sunday with relatives at Springhill. - Misses Vera Wall and Claudie Oswalt visited Mrs. W. O. Gary of Springhill Tuesday night. - Mrs. Jess McCain is visiting in McCaintown this week.
EUPORA: Mrs. William O. Evans and children of Las Crudes, New Mexico are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Evans. - Pvt. Herbert Williams who has been in training at Greenleaf, Ga. returned home Sunday with his final discharge. - Mr. L. B. McCain of McCaintown visited his mother, Mrs. Eliga McCain at Mr. J. C. Winter Monday. - Mr. John J. Adams of Clarksdale visited his brother-in-law Mr. J. C. Winter last week.

EMBRY: Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Embry spent Saturday and Sunday visiting relatives near Lodi. - Mr. Alva Cooper is very sick at this writing. - Mr. Austin Gayo spent Thanksgiving at Artesia. - Mrs. J. R. Mitchell was called to Bellefontaine Friday on account of her daughter’s illness.
WALTHALL: Mrs. Estell Middleton, residing in the eastern part of the county, died at her home near Clarkson last Wednesday. She was originally Miss Fondren, and leaves a husband, a very young child, and a little adopted niece. Remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Sapa.
