A little more stringent enforcement of the Auto laws in Ackerman is needed. Some of the drivers of cars pay no more attention to the regulations than if we had none.

Tom Mosley, who has been in foreign lands for many months, has returned home. - Mrs. Kittie Gill of Fort Worth, Texas, is visiting relatives and friends in Ackerman and Choctaw for awhile. Mrs. Gill is an aunt of Mrs. Willis N. Maddox of Ackerman, and formerly lived here. - Mrs. M. T. Bailey and son Sam left last Saturday for Mobile, Ala., where they go to visit for awhile in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Bailey and will go from there to Gulfport to visit Mr. and Mrs. Zack Bailey.
MISSISSIPPI STATE FAIR – Jackson, Miss., Oct. 20-25: The greatest event to take place in Mississippi this year, far surpassing all former efforts. The Mississippi State Fair has been for the past 16 years the timekeeper of Mississippi’s progress and the greatest annual event in the commonwealth offering amusement and instruction combined. This year it will be bigger and better than ever before. Reduced rates on all railroads.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Johnson have returned from a two-weeks trip to Quebec, Canada. This trip was given Mr. Johnson by the Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York, which company he represents. They stopped off at some of the principle cities including Chicago, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal, and made the trip from Niagara Falls to Quebec up the St. Lawrence River by boat. They had an enjoyable trip and saw many wonderful sights and had the honor of seeing the Prince of Wales at Toronto and hearing him make an address.
