Feb. the 19th. Will you be there? The Telephone exchange is a fixed fact. Will you be at the Court House meeting tomorrow?
Dr. McGovern has purchased the John Sides brick store and also a residence in town. - Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Bray of Kosciusko are visiting friends in town. - John Black and C. C. Crawford of Weir Postoffices, both good and true men, had us enroll their names as cash in advance subscribers this week.
We were glad to meet in town last Friday the new deputy sheriff of Choctaw, who looks after the Chester end of the line, Mr. A. L. Bright. Mr. Bright is a good man for the position and will discharge the duties of his position most intelligently and impartially.

We regret to chronicle the death of Mr. Plumer Quinn, which sad event occurred at the residence of his father on last Thursday night. Plumer had suffered a long time with throat trouble and recently made a trip to New Orleans where he had an operation performed on his throat, and all that medical aid could do was done, but in vain. He was a splendid young man and to his stricken family we extend our sympathy.

We had the pleasure of meeting in town Tuesday Mr. Robin Quinn of Trinity Springs near Fentress, who is hale, hearty, and jovial notwithstanding he was 85 years old on the 24th day of January, last. Mr. Quinn as been an active man many a long year and no man is more highly respected.

One at Tupelo with a capital of $200,000; one at Canton, capital of $200,000; one at Kosciusko, capital $125,000; one at Laurel, capital stock $200,000; one at Morehead, capital stock $200,000, and one at McComb City. - Hazelhurst Courier.
The Courier certainly has never heard of the West Point cotton mill, which is now under construction and has placed orders for machinery for $100,000 plant. It is expected that the establishment will be ready for work by September or October. West Point is not making much noise about her mill, but is steadily at work on it. Talk means nothing. – West Point Leader.
