They were buried at Murphy Creek Church. - We have also just heard of the death of Mrs. Kirk Miller, in the same community. - We sympathize with Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Ward in the unfortunate death of their little baby this week. - Archie Curtis, 26, died at Rush Infirmary in Meridian Jan. 11th. His remains were brought here and interred in Masonic cemetery, after funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church. He was the only son of the late Rev. Nash Curtis, who died when Archie was a young boy. Married to Miss Elva May Roberts a few years ago, a sweet baby girl was born to the couple. His wife and child survive him, as well as his mother, Mrs. Sallie Crafton, and two sisters. Last summer he was bitten by an insect which so poisoned his system that he was unable to do anything for some time. Recently he suffered a spell of illness from which Bright’s disease developed and he was carried to Rush Infirmary. - Neal McAllily died Wednesday at his home west of town, after suffering from Influenza. He was a clever young man and will be missed by his many friends. - Mrs. G. W. Patty received a cablegram this week from France that her nephew, G. P. Gage, son of the late Mrs. Jennie Giles Gage, had died in France from wounds received before the armistice was signed.
MARRIAGES: Married at the residence of the bride’s mother, Mrs. William H. Clark, on January 13th, Mr. H. C. Carter and Miss Byrdie Clark, Rev. W. C. Carlisle saying the ceremony.
