RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT: To Ackerman Camp No. 278 Woodman Of The World - We your committee appointed to draft preamble and resolutions in memory of our deceased Sovereign P. S. Kenedy beg leave to report as follows: Whereas, An All wise providence has entered our midst and rendered sad our camp in removing from the walks of men our cherished associated sovereign, P. S. Kenedy which occurred at his home in the town of Ackerman Apr. the 10, Therefore be it resolved by Ackerman Camp No. 278 that in sovereign Kenedy this camp has lost a worthy and cherished member; his wife and child an indulgent husband and father, his mother and father, a dutiful and loving son, and this community an honorable citizen, yet we, bow in humble submission to the will of him who doeth all things well. Resolved Second, that we extend to his family and friends our sincere sympathy and condolence in their hour of sorrow. Resolved Third, that the sovereigns of Ackerman Camp and those of Louisville Camp participating in his burial wear the usual badge of mourning for a period of thirty days. Resolved 4th, a copy of these resolutions be furnished the family of the sovereign Kenedy and each of the Ackerman papers with a request to publish same. This April the 20 1899. Committee: J. P. The Charter of Incorporation of the Choctaw Bank, Ackerman, Miss.: J. D. Weeks, A. Cramer, N. A. Cramer, W. W. Inman, D. H. Quinn, Wm. J. Barron, O. L. Barron. T. E. Barron, W. M. Paine, T. G. Elliott, L. Burke, J. W. Edwards, Wm. Edwards, G. E. Galceran, D. L. Hunt, B. H. Holder, J. Kobb, W. T. Crawford, and such others as may be association with them are hereby incorporated under Chapter 25 of the Annotated Code of Mississippi of 1892, and the acts of the Legislatures of said State, amendatory of said Chapter 25 of said code, as a Banking Association and do hereby declare: 1st. That the name of the Bank shall be The Choctaw Bank. 2nd. That it shall be domiciled at Ackerman, Choctaw County, Mississippi. … 6th.This Charter shall go into effect upon its approval by the Governor of the State of Mississippi. April 13, 1899.
