Mrs. J. A. Pinnix and Mr. J. M Power left Wednesday morning for Sprague, Oklahoma, where they went to visit their sister, Mrs. Georgia Davis, who is critically ill. - Supt. Bridges urges all the Teachers to meet him at Ackerman on Saturday, October 25th. Business of the most urgent need will be transacted at this time. - Miss Maurine Hearon, who is teaching at Philadelphia, spent last Saturday and Sunday with relatives and friends here.
The Fair held here Wednesday was a success in every manner. A big crowd was present and the exhibits were never better. County Agent Barrett is to be congratulated on the success of the undertaking. Mrs. L. H. Stubblefield was a visitor to Ackerman Wednesday. - Next Sunday at 3 o’clock, old time, Rev. Patrick S. Rogers will preach at Bethlehem. - Mesdames N. W. Russell and T. B. Quinn will leave Sunday for Louisville, Ky., to visit relatives and friends. Next Sunday at the Baptist Church the pastor will preach at 11 o’clock on “How to Prosper.” At 8 p.m. the B. Y. P. U. will render an interesting program on the 75 Million Campaign. All are cordially invited to these services.
