The town of Mathiston invites everyone as we celebrate Lillian Wilkins’ 100th birthday at Mathiston United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 4, from 2-4 p.m.
Mathiston native Lillian Wilkins, a current resident of Starkville, will turn 100 years of age on Sunday, May 5. Town officials will gather along with friends and family to celebrate this milestone birthday.
Born in 1919, Lillian Brumley Wilkins spent her formative years in Mathiston during the Great Depression, and has maintained a love of her hometown and has been an active presence here to this very day. She has been a proud supporter of civic events in town and a particularly faithful member of Mathiston United Methodist Church.
Mayor Jimmy Carden will present a plaque and a special recognition to Ms. Lillian and appropriate remarks will be made. Please join us as we proudly recognize this special milestone in the life of Lillian Wilkins.
