“A Universe of Stories!” is the theme of the Maben Public Library’s Summer Reading Program.
Children ages 4-12 are invited to come each Tuesday at 10 a.m. from June 11-July 9 for fun activities, prizes and more.
• June 11: Edwin Faughn- director the Rainwater Observatory and Planetarium
• June 18: Dorian LaChance – magician/entertainer
• June 25: Pam Awad – nutrition educator, Mississippi State Extension Service
• July 2: Freedom Ranch, a chance to interact with animals!
• July 9: Wayne Yeatman – fire chief. You may get wet!
Children ages 5-7 to complete the program must read 15 easy books; ages 8-12 must read three chapter books. These must be books checked out of the library and read during the summer reading program. You will be given a book log to write the titles of the books you read. Bring it each time to receive prizes.
