Logan Hudson, a senior at Winston Academy, has earned recognition as the state essay contest male award winner for 2020. Logan was selected as the Nanih Waiya chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution essay contest winner and will receive a $300.00 scholarship.
He will be awarded the scholarship for being selected the state winner at the National Defense luncheon held in Jackson at the Hilton on February 21. Logan is the son of Ann and Cliff Hudson. He plans to attend East Central Community College and major in Business communication/ Journalism.
As a senior at Winston Academy, Logan is the Secretary/ Treasurer of the Student Body Association and a member of the WA Tennis Team and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He serves as the Editor of the Winston Academy Gazette and is part of the Mayor’s Youth Council. He is a member of the Youth Group at First Methodist Church and has been a part of BMDMI Mission trips to Honduras.
As one can see, Logan is very involved in both school and community activities. The Nanih Waiya Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Winston County are extremely proud of this young man and his accomplishments.
