Sheila Fondren of Bellefontaine was recently recognized by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was awarded certificates from the Volunteer Genealogist Committee, Membership Committee and America 250! Task Force Committee for her dedicated service and work for the DAR.
Fondren is a member of the Old Choctaw County Chapter, where she has served as chapter regent in the past and is currently serving as treasurer.
The Old Choctaw County Chapter is located in Webster County with a membership of 64 ladies. Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution are direct descendants of patriots who fought for America’s freedom in the Revolutionary War.
