LifeCare EMS which provides emergency medical and ambulance service to Winston County has a new look, a new name and new equipment. LifeCare will henceforth be known as PatientCare EMS.
PatientCare Chief Operating Officer, Jerry Johnston stated, “We think the name change better represents our brand and our mission and what we do. And it just coincided with the fact that we were getting these new ambulances.” He added that the name change went into effect with the State Bureau of EMS on Monday, September 9 at midnight.
Although there are many changes, the local staff remains the same, and Johnston said that Winston Countians can expect the same high level of care as before, or possibly even better. Along with the new look comes new and better equipment and more training.
County Manager, Steve Lunsford stated the company has done a phenomenal job with a new radio system, dispatch system, new trucks and additional training.
PatientCare personnel, along with law enforcement and fire services, gathered at the PatientCare headquarters on North Court Avenue on Wednesday morning, September 11 to celebrate the rebranding of the company.
