The Winston County Master Gardeners will tour two places, Saturday, June 13, 2019. The public is invited to join them at 8:00 a.m. at the Extension Office, 155 Vance Street, Louisville, MS, to travel from there to the two locations. The first tour will be at the Van Hull Place where he will discuss Raised Bed Gardening and berry production – strawberries, blue berries, raspberries and black berries. The second tour will be at the Hal Overstreet Place where he will discuss landscaping and lawn maintenance. There will be refreshments and door prizes at both locations.
It is the purpose of the Winston County Master Gardeners Association (WCMGA): 1) to assist the Extension Service of Mississippi State University to accomplish its mission by providing easily accessible information about residential horticultural practices through educational presentations and use of the media; and 2) to provide a volunteer organization that completes community service projects which further the community’s understanding of and appreciation for the joy of gardening.
