Jenny Jones with Girl Scouts Heart of the South was guest speaker at the March 20 meeting of the Eupora Rotary Club
The senior director of community engagement and marketing said Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place
GSHS serves 6,233 girl members with the help of 2,369 adult volunteers in 59 counties in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.
However, Jones said Girl Scouts has no presence in Webster or Choctaw counties at this time. Troops can meet just twice a month and Mississippi State University hosts weekend programs, she said.
Jones’ office is in Tupelo, where she is also president of the Tupelo Rotary Club. For more information, visit girlscoutshs.org.
