French Camp’s April 10 Historical Highlight speaker will be Dot Ward, dearly loved retired teacher and leader in the French Camp community.
Dot will be talking about medical care in French Camp in the 1930’s and 1940’s. She is a 1951 graduate of French Camp Academy and got a degree in education from MSU. She taught school for over 30 years, beginning and ending her teaching career in French Camp. Dot is a great storyteller and has interesting things to share about what it was like to go to the doctor and to the dentist in years gone by!
The May 8 Historical Highlight speaker will be Mike Quayle, a 1964 graduate of French Camp Academy.
Historical Highlight Luncheons are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at French Camp Presbyterian Church, featuring a speaker who shares some aspect of French Camp’s history and a delicious, home-cooked meal for a $2 donation. The public is invited.
