Just want to start out by saying this has been one of the best Sundays in a long time. Our Sunday school lesson was great. The lesson was on Pentecost. Thus this was Pentecost Sunday.
Our worship Sunday was just amazing, for lack of no words to explain. The Lord God blessed us with his awesome presence. What a joyful, fulfilling time in the Lord. I preached from Acts 9 about Saul’s conversion, and we also had a memory verse from Philippians 3:14.
Paul, who at one time was name Saul, wrote, “I press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” As Christians we must strive for that which Paul is talking about — living more Christ-like, striving with great perseverance, great determination.
So we run, as Paul said, this race that we may attain or apprehend the prize. Remember Christians that we are just pilgrims, strangers and sojourners passing through this land. This is not our home; heaven is our home.
Oh yeah, also on our second Sunday night service, we had a wonderful night of worship and singing. We were all just really blessed. Again, we had just a marvelous weekend in the Lord. We are all just looking forward to many more to come.
Everyone is invited to come out and join us this Sunday school at 10 a.m., and morning worship and service starting at 10:45. God bless you all and have a wonderful week.
