The Eupora Powerlifting team competed in Region 1 competition on Feb. 10 at East Union.
Five of the lifters for Eupora squatted more than 400 pounds and seven lifters benched pressed more than 200 pounds.
Edwin Herard finished first in the 181-pound weight class while Campbell Vaughn finished second in the 198-pound class. Tra McComb finished second in the 123-pound class while Parker Blaylock finished second in the 308-pound class.
Third-place finishers included Makyrus Potts in the 165-pound class, M.J. Thomas in the 242-pound class and Preston Perkins in the 275-pound class.
Travon McMillian finished fourth in the 148-pound class while Houston Medders finished fifth in the 242-pound class and De-Unte Watson was seventh in the 198-pound class.
The top three finishers in each weight class will compete in the North 2A Powerlifting meet on Feb. 24 at Calhoun City.
