Eupora Police Department officers have made four drug arrests in recent weeks.
Three were made as a result of traffic stops in the city, including one on May 29.
On that date, Daren Patterson, 33, of Eupora was arrested and charged by Officer Casey Henderson with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,500 feet of a church, simple assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, careless driving and DUI-1st offense.
Patterson appeared before Justice Court Judge Rebecca Ellison (in the absence Municipal Judge Buchanan Meek) on May 31 and bond was set at $50,000. He was scheduled to appear in Eupora Municipal Court on Tuesday.
The other traffic stop occurred June 13. Christy Ann Payne, 44 of Golden was arrested and charged by Officer Deangelo Liggins with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 1,500 feet of a church.
Earl Wayne Robinson, 45, was arrested at the same time and charged with possession of methamphetamine. Arraignment for Payne and Robinson was scheduled for Friday.
On Friday, Henderson, assisted by Officer Tyler Bierdeman and Officer Brandon Chaille, arrested and charged 52-year-old Lilly Ethel Weeks of Mathiston with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute — more than 30 grams. She was to appear for arraignment on Tuesday.
