Well the rain we had Thursday night didn't stop us from having an Easter egg hunt Friday at the Maben Public Library.
While the parents hid 100 candy-filled eggs, the children and I went downstairs and sang songs and read “Chicken Little.” This is always a funny story and keeps the children's attention even with the excitement of the egg hunt awaiting them.
The children were well mannered and had lots of fun finding all the eggs with candy in them. Joshua Thornton found the most.
After our egg hunt and checking out the candy in the eggs, we had an Easter party with spring cookies, Cheetos and Capri Suns. The children got bubbles, pencils and erasers for an Easter happy.
The library will be closed for Good Friday this week. Happy Easter to all!
Children who came Friday were Lilli Cate Anderson; Adelyn, John Wyatt and Ansley Parker; Kinsley Dodd; Lydia, Joshua, Mason and Sadie Thornton; Kaylyn Davis; Troop and Vivie Halford; and Eliza Stowall.
