Casting your vote and choosing a person to hopefully represent your views in the city hall, county courthouse, state capitol or the nations capital is the most American thing you can do.
The election turnout for this county was slim in the June regular election which is reflective of the entire country.
When the early patriots in 1776 declared independence from England they were setting in place a nation that depends on its people to select good representation and gave citizens a voice in all halls of government (yes I know at the time mainly white male property owners could vote but now just about every one can) yet the same persons who were excluded at the time seem freely to choose not to vote which leaves a select few to chose the persons that should represent us all.
To vote is not only an essential American trait and that right has been kept safe by millions of Americans on battlefields across the world and in our own country.
So while all these people ask their social media friends to share an America flag gif or some patriotic quote all of them would be better of going to vote..
