The one and only Donnie Buckner came in and played and shared the Word of God. He always brings the best time.
I suppose he has been coming here for over 20 years, at first on special events and now monthly. Leslie Lee has been here for 18 years and he was here when she got here.
Donnie has been married to Jeanette for 38 years. He is a pastor of Cowboy Church, has eight grandkids and lives in Dancy. He sings in other places too but we are his favorite I’m sure. Ha-ha. We thank you Donnie Buckner.
We finished the day with bingo and Bible study with Mathiston Baptist. Thursday, Heavenly Highway Singers came and Mr. Ed Lacy knows how to pick the good ones. Gary helped him out.
Saturday we had people coming and going, and I went to a wedding. Christy Oswalt got married to Danny Jernigan . I bet over a hundred were there. I met a lot of new people and wish them the best.
Sunday Bro. Hill came and Dr. Duncan, then later Bethel Baptist Church came and led us in worship and message.
Monday was community singers and that’s always a treat. Always some great harmony. Later was resident council meeting. The “gripes” are getting fewer and fewer. Ha-ha.
Tuesday we always have a good time singing with Hymn Time and later Community Outreach Club, where we are working on our school supply drive for the community.
