WALTHALL — The contractor that built the new Webster County Courthouse has been recognized for excellence in the project.
Benchmark Construction was the recipient of the 2019 Associated Builders & Contractors of Mississippi Merit Award (Silver) for construction of a government building over $5 million, which was the courthouse
Benchmark, which is headquartered in Jackson, was the general contractor and JH&H Architects of Flowood designed the courthouse.
The award was presented at ABC Mississippi’s annual Merit Awards Banquet on Nov. 22 in Jackson. The competition recognizes excellence in construction quality by honoring contractors whose work exemplifies the high degree of quality that is common within ABC Mississippi membership.
Benchmark President David Marsh personally delivered the commemorative Merit Award eagle to the Webster County Board of Supervisors on Dec. 20 for permanent display at the courthouse, which was completed last summer.
