June was a busy month at Webster County Library. Seven summer reading programs were enjoyed by 100 children ages 3-10.
The Mississippi Museum of Natural Science brought animal skins, turtles and a snake for the children to touch.
Dorian LaChance entertained the children with a magic show using the theme “Take Me to Your Readers.”
Kathryn Allman, with the Mississippi Tobacco-Free Coalition, read a story and gave each child a gift bag with toys and coloring sheets.
Lawyer Gee read “Aliens Stole My Underpants“ during the third week, and Ms. Anita started the Pre-K summer program with “How to Catch a Star” and ended the month with “Curious George and the Rocket.”
The library thanks all who had a part in the Summer Reading Program — our sponsors, Dr. Joe Duncan, Belinda Stewart, Karen Shook, Bert Parish, Bank of Kilmichael and Friends of the Library; and the parents and grandparents who brought the children to the library each week.
