The County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a "National Guard Care Package Donation Competition." Items can be sent with students to Ackerman Elementary School or dropped off in the front office at the school.
Bring an item(s) from the suggested list below to help your child's class earn points to win a party.
Travel Size Items: Soap, Shampoo, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Mouth wash, Deodorant, Cotton swabs, Facial tissues, Baby wipes/wet wipes, Lysol spray, Hand sanitizer, Medicated powder, Toilet paper wipes, Moleskin (foot) First Aid Kit, Tylenol/Aleve.
Non-Perishable Food items – Individually wrapped: Protein Bars, Snack Bars, Pop-Tarts, Snack Crackers, Cookies, Chips, Beef Jerky, Drink Mixes, Candy that won’t melt, Individual Condiments.
Other items: Black Boot Socks, Card Games, Deck of Cards, Magazines, Word Puzzles/Games.
The donated items will be included in care packages to send to the Ackerman/Choctaw County National Guard soldiers throughout their deployment.
The competition will run from April 30th through May 11th, and the homeroom who collects the most donations will receive a party. A list of items that can be donated is listed on the flyer. Thank you for helping us support our troops.
