Lyn Blaylock, Eupora Twentieth Century Clubwoman of the Year, was selected as District III MFWC Clubwoman of the Year.
Blaylock is currently serving as Eupora Twentieth Century Club’s president and has held the office of vice president, parliamentarian and recording secretary. She is an active member and supports the many activities and projects of the club. Mrs. Blaylock serves as the MFWC District III president-elect and is a board member of Mississippi Federation of Women’s Clubs, where she currently serves as the Hebron Scholarship chairman.
Mrs. Blaylock is a teacher at Eupora High School. She coaches cheer and teaches senior English and dual-enrollment Comp. I and II. She is the yearbook adviser and adviser for the Interact Rotary Club. She has been an educator for 28 years and has been at EHS for the past six years.
As an active member of First Baptist Church, Blaylock serves as a the youth Bible Drills leader and a past Sunday School substitute teacher. Her passion is sharing the gospel through missions, and she serves with the Nicaragua Missions team. She will be returning to Nicaragua this summer on her third mission trip.
“Being selected as MFWC District III Clubwoman of the Year is such an honor. I am so privileged to work and live in a community that supports and encourages volunteerism. Eupora is so wonderful about giving back. The women of Eupora Twentieth Century Club deserve this honor as well. They all work so hard to give back to our community, and they are sincerely interested in the promotion and enhancement of Eupora and in helping their fellow neighbors,” said Blaylock.
Lyn is married to Stan Blaylock, and they have three children: Brad, Parker and Greer. Brad and his wife, Caroline, reside in Kentucky; Parker and Greer are students at the University of Mississippi. Stan Blaylock is the senior vice president of Bank of Kilmichael in Eupora and Mathiston. Lyn is the daughter of Frances and Pat Hyde of Eupora.
Blaylock further stated, “I love Eupora. I feel so blessed to live in a loving, warm community with a strong support for our school and those around us.” The District Clubwomen of the Year will be recognized at the MFWC State Convention in Gulfport in April and a state Clubwoman of the Year will be selected.
The Eupora Twentieth Century club works on projects such as the Caring Hands Puppet Project for North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora, Operation Christmas Child, storm relief efforts, school supplies drive, child welfare issues and many more. The Eupora Twentieth Century Club has 48 members.
