The Eupora Board of Aldermen had a special-called meeting Thursday evening.
Mayor Lamar Dumas called the meeting for the purpose of a “Police Department Matter,” according to the agenda.
The mayor and aldermen spent 30 minutes in executive session with Police Chief Gregg Hunter discussing police personnel. They adjourned the meeting with no action taken.
Robert Gibbs (Ward 4) was absent. The next regular meeting of the board is Aug. 5.
Correction: Champion Rental Properties & Maintenance Service LLC is the new owner of the burned-out buildings at the southwest corner of North Dunn Street and Fox Avenue in Eupora. The Progress-Times incorrectly reported the name of the owner in a July 17 article about the July 1 meeting of the Eupora Board of Aldermen.
