The Eupora Board of Aldermen authorized property appraisals and tended to year-end budget matters during a special-called meeting Thursday evening.
In a follow-up to action taken Sept. 3, board members authorized letters of appraisal for two properties.
Appraiser Mike Brooks is being hired to determine the value of property owned by Jim Smith in Industrial Park. This is required for a land swap as part of the industrial access road project off U.S. 82.
Appraiser Mitchell Gordon is being hired to determine the value of a lot off West Gould Avenue where a new water tank will be erected as part of city water system improvements.
For the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, aldermen approved the year-end accounts payable claims docket and year-end budget adjustments as presented, authorizing reserves to be used to pay General City expenses totaling $29,763.50.
A minimum quorum was present for the meeting: Jerry Gary (at-large), Junior Shaw (Ward 1) and Howard Rumore (Ward 2.) The board meets again at 6 p.m. Monday.
