A two-vehicle accident occurred about 7:55 a.m. Thursday on Clarkson Road with two people entrapped in a vehicle at the Clarkson Cemetery intersection.
Responding agencies included Walthall Fire and Rescue, Mathiston and Mantee fire departments, North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora EMS and the Webster County Sheriff’s Department.
Walthall rescue units arrived on scene to find the two vehicles in a T-bone accident with one vehicle having heavy passenger-side damage and entrapment. Crews used the jaws of life to remove the roof, doors and perform a dash roll (lifting of the dash) to free the occupants.
A CareFlight helicopter was landed on scene and another at a local helipad. A third patient was transported by ambulance to NMMC in Tupelo.
