Mississippi Municipal League President Glen Barlow (French Camp), MML 1st Vice President Billy Hewes (Gulfport), and MML 2nd Vice President Errick D. Simmons (Greenville), along with MML Executive Director Shari Veazey, Deputy Director Robbie Brown, and Kosciusko Mayor Jimmy Cockroft (Board President of Southern Municipal Conference), Trey Bobinger, MML Lobbyist, represented Mississippi at the Southern Municipal Conference in Lexington, Kentucky this week.
Mississippi Municipal League (MML) leadership traveled to Lexington, Kentucky this week for the Southern Municipal Conference Leadership Meeting. The Southern Municipal Conference is a network of state municipal leagues sharing information and developing solutions to challenges that affect southern cities. MML joined leadership teams from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia to discuss challenges and share successes stories regarding topics unique to southern states. While at the event, MML also was able to hear from business experts and government officials about what makes Kentucky’s tourism industry so unique.
This trip was no cost to the City.
