The Town of Weir is applying for a Homeland security grant that, if approved, will give them two generators, portable radios where they are on the MISWIN [Mississippi Wireless Information Network] and can talk to other agencies. Which can be helpful, as Highway 12 has been a route people have taken to attempt to outrun officers.
