Multiple fire departments were dispatched to this house fire Sunday evening at 545 Old Walthall Road in Eupora. The fire was reported around 6:40 p.m. with Eupora, Mathiston, Tomnolen and Walthall fire departments responding, Webster 911 reports show. Resident Lauren Stewart, 61, was airlifted to a Memphis hospital for smoke inhalation, according to social media posts. Her house was a total loss and firefighters went back to the scene Monday and Tuesday after hot spots reignited. The Eupora Baptist Facebook page posted that a fund has been set up for Stewart at First Baptist Church Eupora. Contributions may be dropped off at the church office.
