Pafford Emergency Medical Services has donated two automated external defibrillators to Webster County. Scott Dean (left) of Pafford EMS, who presented the AEDs to the Board of Supervisors on Dec. 1, is showing Supervisor Paul Crowley the components of one of the devices. An AED automatically analyzes the heart rhythm in people who are experiencing cardiac arrest. When appropriate, it delivers an electrical shock to the heart to restore its normal rhythm.
