JACKSON, MS – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (MMNS) proudly presents its 23rd Annual Fossil Road Show on Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fossil lovers, rock collectors, and budding paleontologists, get ready to pack up your fossils and hit the road! This hands‑on, family‑friendly event invites visitors of all ages to bring their fossil finds for on‑the‑spot identification by the museum’s team of expert scientists. Whether you’ve unearthed a curious tooth, a mysterious bone, or a strange imprint in stone, the Fossil Road Show is your chance to discover its ancient story.
A Prehistoric Adventure for Everyone Which Includes
- displays from fossil collectors and exhibitors showcasing rare and remarkable specimens
- hands‑on activities, including interactive stations and a crowd‑favorite scavenger hunt
- a chance to match wits with experts by bringing in your most puzzling prehistoric oddities
