The Nation's Weather for Thursday, November 10, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Nicole is forecast to make landfall early tomorrow morning.
Strong winds and flooding from storm surge and heavy
rainfall will impact much of the Florida Peninsula. Although
the storm will lose wind intensity as it moves northward,
gusty winds and heavy rain will move into the mid-Atlantic
and Northeast Friday. Meanwhile, heavy snow and strong winds
will affect much of North Dakota and northern South Dakota,
making travel extremely difficult and dangerous. Farther
east, afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected to
erupt in southern Minnesota, central Iowa and northern
Missouri. The storms could contain brief downpours, hail and
damaging wind gusts. The West will catch a break from the
recent storminess, but temperatures will be well below
