The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, October 4, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Periods of rain and gusty winds will continue tomorrow along
the Atlantic coast, stretching from Massachusetts, to
southeastern Virginia, as a storm system lingers offshore.
As winds persistently push onshore, coastal flooding and
beach erosion will remain a concern in low-lying coastal
areas. In the central United States, a cold front will allow
for showers and a few thunderstorms to develop over a broad
region, stretching from Minnesota, through the northern and
central Plains, and into the Four Corners region.
Thunderstorms are most likely from Nebraska, southward, and
any storm can produce heavy rain and gusty winds. In the
Pacific Northwest, an increase in cloud cover will allow for
a slow cooldown across the area.
