NATIONAL SUMMARY
In the Northeast, it will be turning milder with snow early
in the day tomorrow. Snow can linger into the afternoon
hours in eastern Maine and Massachusetts. In the Mississippi
Valley, rain will extend from Missouri to Texas. In Texas
and Arkansas, heavy rain and thunderstorms can lead to
flooding, especially in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Meanwhile, a little rain will extend inland along the coast
of the Carolinas. Elsewhere, another storm moves through the
West spreading rain and mountain snow from northern
Washington to Central California. In Central and Northern
California, heavy rain can lead to ponding on roadways. In
the Sierra Nevada, heavy snow can lead to slippery travel
and travel disruptions for holiday travelers. Temperatures
will be mild in the Plains, with abundant sunshine.
