NATIONAL SUMMARY
Lake-effect snow showers are expected to linger tomorrow in
far northwestern Pennsylvania and southwestern New York.
Lake-effect showers can also linger east of Lake Ontario
into Syracuse and portions of I-90. These snow showers can
create highly localized slippery roads and whiteout
conditions that can come on suddenly. A storm that will
eventually track up the East Coast will spread showers
across central Texas into eastern Texas and into Louisiana
later in the day. Most of it will be on-and-off rain, but
there can still be a rumble of thunder. A clipper system can
bring a brief shower mixed with snow, sleet and rain across
far northeastern Minnesota, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan
and northern Michigan. The stubborn arctic air mass over
much of the Plains and East will start to retreat.
