NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain and high-elevation snow will impact the central Rockies
tomorrow. Farther south, thunderstorms can bring localized
damaging wind gusts to eastern New Mexico. Much lower
temperatures will begin a stretch of the coolest weather
since April in southern Nevada, southeastern California and
western, central and southern Arizona. Gusty winds and dry
weather will lead to an elevated risk of wildfires from
northeastern Kansas to the western Upper Peninsula of
Michigan. A separate area with a high fire threat will exist
in Central California. King tides can lead to coastal
flooding in low-lying areas along the entire east coast of
Florida. Unusually rough surf and rip currents can extend as
far north as the Outer Banks. A gradual warming trend will
commence in the Northeast.
