NATIONAL SUMMARY
Debby will bring a flood threat and isolated tornadoes to
northeastern New England tomorrow. Rain will be over farther
to the southwest, but lingering flooding and rising rivers
will be possible in southern New York, western portions of
Massachusetts and Connecticut, central and eastern
Pennsylvania, much of New Jersey, eastern West Virginia and
western Virginia. Thunderstorms from Wyoming to the Texas
Panhandle could contain hail and damaging winds. Wildfire
smoke will cause the sky to be hazy in Washington, Oregon,
Idaho, northern Nevada and northwestern Utah. An early taste
of fall can cause waterspouts near the shorelines of
southern Lake Superior, northern Lake Michigan and northern
Lake Huron. Spotty thunderstorms will rumble in areas from
southeastern Virginia to Florida in the afternoon.
