NATIONAL SUMMARY
Pockets of rain showers and high-elevation snow will
continue across the Interior West as a storm crosses into
the Plains tomorrow. This storm will bring steady rain from
South Dakota through Louisiana, with severe thunderstorms
possible from southeastern Texas into Louisiana, especially
in the morning. Any thunderstorm can bring heavy downpours,
damaging winds and even hail. Yet another storm will move
ashore in California late in the afternoon and into the
overnight hours. Meanwhile, the Northeast will turn drier as
high pressure moves overhead as breezy conditions take hold
along the coast. Dry and mild conditions will persist
southward across much of the Southeast and Great Lakes
region.
